Information collected
A direct order includes the information needed to process and fulfill it, such as your name, email address, delivery address, order details and payment status. A support request includes your name, email address, message and any order reference you provide. Newsletter signup includes your email address, optional name and recorded consent.
How information is used
- Prepare, process and fulfill eligible orders
- Provide payment, delivery and customer-service updates
- Respond to questions, returns and order concerns
- Maintain customer history, internal support notes and follow-ups
- Send book news and offers only after separate email consent
- Operate, secure and troubleshoot the website
- Meet applicable legal, tax and accounting duties
Customer records and email choices
Growth Lab Press keeps a private customer record with your name, email address, country, order history, support history, internal notes, follow-ups and reader tags. Full delivery addresses, telephone numbers and card details are not stored in the customer CRM. Purchasing a book does not subscribe you to marketing email. Newsletter consent is recorded separately and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Payment and fulfillment providers
Stripe handles payment information and payment status. Growth Lab Press does not receive your full card number. Bookvault receives the book, production and delivery information needed to print and fulfill eligible orders. Website hosting and security providers process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. Each provider handles information under its own privacy terms.
Anonymous engagement measurement
The website records daily aggregate counts for page views, book and reader-guide views, Amazon clicks, direct-checkout starts and newsletter signups. It also records an external referring website and campaign labels when present. This measurement does not use cookies, IP addresses, visitor identifiers or personal profiles.
Retention and security
Order, customer, consent, support and accounting records are kept only for as long as needed to provide the service, respect email choices, resolve concerns and meet legal obligations. Reasonable safeguards are used to protect information, but no online service offers absolute security.
International processing
Stripe, Bookvault and website infrastructure can process information in countries outside your own. Their privacy terms describe the safeguards they use for international transfers.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, object to certain uses, or complain to a privacy regulator. Some records must be kept when required by law.
Questions and updates
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to tradetowncanada@gmail.com. This notice will be updated when the website’s information practices change.
